The girl who wrote the review below was completely right and the owner looked like he was ready to jump over the counter and attack her. Clearly he doesn't know how to handle any issues that arise without turning to being nasty.

I go out of my way to eat at sazio express. Their pizza brings me back home to New York with the thin crust, delicious sauce, and perfect amount of cheese. It comes by the slice too! I've also enjoyed the meatball, Italian, and Rachel heroes. All had generous amounts of meat and the bread was so fresh I would have to guess its baked daily on site. I'm excited to try everything else on the menu and know I won't be disappointed, I haven't yet!

Pretty good pizza you can get by the slice on Atlantic. The prices are reasonable and you can buy beer there as well. They also have subs and other things but haven't tried that yet. Would go again some other time when I am on Atlantic. Wish it was on the other side of the bridge though.

Unfortunately today I didn't read the reviews before going. The manager was very rude, the food was over priced, and I found hair in my food. When I gave my food back and whispered so no one else could hear about the hair situation, he didn't even apologize. I was very polite yet there was poor service and an unpleasant atmosphere. Don't go here!

I give Sazio zero stars because the OWNER is the rudest person that I have ever met. I ordered food and he got my order wrong so I corrected him and he got extremely frustrated that I corrected him. He actually got everything wrong that we ordered because he doesn't listen. He then proceeded to point his finger in my face and tell me to get the hell out. He didn't want to correct the order that he messed up. He put on a show for the entire restaurant. He was yelling and screaming. When I asked him what his name was he said that he is the owner and he will do whatever he wants. There are plenty of restaurants to eat in delay. I would not give this nasty owner a dime. Hopefully his business will fail because he is so nasty to his customers.

I ordered a salad. They charged me two dollars extra. I asked about the difference and they said the menu was old and the price was higher. I asked if I could pay the menu price and asked for a refund of the difference, but they were argumentative and complained heavily about my request. How can I expect to pay 20% more than what is on the menu?? Salad was delicious, but customer service was atrocious. I will avoid going there from now on and there is a another pizza place 30 feet away....

I was in the restaurant when the past episode occurred and remember that there are 2 sides to every story and I saw the other side. If I could give it no stars I would! Terrible service by the owner himself!! My family is in Delray for a week, we all stopped in for a slice a pizza... The guy was checking us out and he was incredibly rude! He somehow did not have the slices we ordered in the oven and he seemed to blame us as if we made them disappear from the pizza oven ourselves! Then he became frustrated because he couldn't get our order straight, it was only two slices! After we finally got served I asked the other employee what the guys name was because I did not know and the employee said Tim We walked out to eat he came outside with a paper and said here's my name "Tim Carres - Owner" He then returned inside and loudly talked about us... Complaining that so many people would walk in and order slices! Mind you the window advertises Pizza by the Slice! Horrible service - we won't be returning

Walked in from being at the beach, after looking in and seeing the pizza by the slice sign. Not sure about the other reviews but my customer service was pleasant and fast just what you expect out of a pizzeria. Not gourmet pizza just good old new York style with fresh ingredients. The price was good for being right off the beach and on Alantic ave. I will be coming back to try an entire pie!

Damn good pizza. Reminds me of Otto back in New England, though nothing beats Otto. The salads are really great too. For a quick lunch in sunny Del Ray I would recommend stopping here.

Been here several times now, and will continue to pop in on our way to the beach. Call ahead to have your order ready when you arrive, pick up your eats, and stroll over to the beach for a great date night during the week. The pizza is hot and GOOD, the sandwiches and wraps are stuffed, and the garlic cheese bread is REALLY cheesy! My only complaint is that I wished they did a better job of keeping the tables wiped down, both inside and outside on the sidewalk. Each time I'm there, I must visit a few tables before I find a clean one. Regardless, I'd rather get my order to go and eat it in the sand anyhow!

Came here for lunch on a weekday. 2 people were behind the counter. They slowly processed the order of the group before me. When it came time for my order I asked for a cheese and veggies only sub on whole wheat. The guy said "veggies??" like that item doesn't exist at a sandwich shop. "What kind of veggies??" I also asked for wheat bread and he snapped back that they don't have wheat. Then another girl took over the sandwich making process and she was as slow as molasses. While I was waiting I watched a lady come in for a slice of pizza and be completely ignored for 5 minutes while that fool walked around behind the counter doing random jobs. He must be the crazy "owner" the other Yelper wrote about. The sub was tasty but the service horrendous so never coming back.

Stopped in the other night on our walk to the beach to grab a couple of slices. We got two of the buffalo chicken ranch slices and they were hot (too hot for me to eat right away!) and very delicious. The staff was also very pleasant and helpful.

Place is really good. I'm not one who throws around 4-5 star ratings, either. The BBQ chicken pizza and the roast beef Gorgonzola is incredible. Gotta order extra balsamic vin dressing. Really really solid place, big drink selection with beers that are $3.75. They deliver too.

Best Pizza in south Florida. Hands down. There is no question, no argument. The pizza here is miles ahead from the next best.........miles and miles ahead. They can be rude. But I don't come here for the customer service. I get my pizza to go. Even when its a slice, always take it to go. My only knock is that its EXPENSIVE. Slices are almost 5 bucks a piece when you factor in taxes. But they are big. Two slices will feed any normal human. So that's 10 bucks for the best pizza around.Not bad.

Sazio express has always been my go to for great pizza slices to go, on my trips to the beach. Always courteous and timely on my order. During season this restaurant has a line but I'm always willing to wait. The pizza is always fresh and big for the price. And when I'm not in the mood for pizza the subs are to die for. I am picky with my sub roll bread and it makes my mouth water to think about them. I have met the owners many times while eating here and they were always polite and took the time to make sure I was taken care of correctly. I also know alot of the different types of people that come through Delray and believe that the owner would take care of each person accordingly.
